Product innovation: low-frequency acoustic panel at Techtextil 2015

Setex/Schilgen made a joint appearance at this year's Techtextil 2015, the international trade fair for technical textiles and non-wovens, in Frankfurt, Germany.

The trade fair proved to be extremely successful for both companies. The technical highlight was a new innovation in the field of acoustics.

A black stage molleton is used to clad both sides of a polyester, non-woven panel. The overall product is flame-resistant and exhibits exceptional reduction across the entire frequency range.

The interest generated in this new product was significant. Setex is soon to exhibit further developments in the area of acoustics. A new grade of fabric - with the melodious name "Soundabsorbermolleton" - is to be launched on the market this coming June! It is in the 500 g/m² weight class, measuring 300 cm in width and of course, is also flame-resistant.
